Green tea has become popular recently and is considered by some as a ‘superfood’ due to its high antioxidant activity. The green tea extract used in this Lamberts® product has been concentrated to ensure a high level of the active ingredients called catechins , providing 250mg per tablet. These compounds are known to be potent antioxidants, substances that are able to neutralise excess free radicals. Free radicals are chemicals created in our bodies during metabolism, or result from sun damage or from inhaled pollution, and in excess can damage cells and the DNA in cells. Green tea has also become a popular choice for slimmers who can include it as part of their calorie controlled diet. Just one of these tablets is equivalent to ½ litre of traditionally brewed green tea but with a caffeine content a fraction of normal tea. Suitable for vegetarians.
