Recently sage has become a popular ingredient in supplements for the menopause, a use supported by some studies. However the levels used in these products are generally too low to be relevant. Sage has also been recommended as an aid to maintaining memory and a recent study showed that sage was able to improve alertness in some of the participants in the study. Each of these Lamberts® Sage tablets provides the equivalent of 2.5g of dried herb. We insist on a high grade sage extract that has a guaranteed level of 2.5% rosmarinic acid (the 'active' compound in sage). Suitable for vegetarians.
